Eligibility Requirements
Requirements of Department of Home Affairs
- Under 45 years old
- Obtain 65 points, including 5 points of state nomination
- Satisfied Skill Assessment criteria
- Have at least ‘proficient’ English language level (IELTS 6.0)
- Own 100% of the company's shares
- To apply for the Permanent Resident visa (visa 191), applicant must have minimum income of AUD $53,900 per year as set out by Department of Home Affairs.
Requirements of Queensland
- The occupation needs to be in the LIN 19/051 list (Queensland’s list of occupations).
- Have a degree in business or business experience by demonstrating the ability to successfully run a small business in Queensland.
- Live in a sparsely populated area of Queensland for at least 6 months before applying for state nomination.
- Invest a minimum of AUD $100,000 in a business in a sparsely populated area of Queensland. Business registration license, financial statements must be in the name of the main applicant.
- The business must have been operated for at least 6 months and the business owner must run the business at least 35 hours/week.
- The business must have at least 1 Australian citizen, who is not a family member, working at least 20 hours/week
- Have enough capital to operate the business and sustain the applicant’s family in Australia.
